Are Short Dramas on IMDb? A Third of ReelShort's Are, by ReelShort's Own Account
ReelShort's series pages carry a hidden link to an IMDb title for 279 of its 766 series. Almost none of the oldest have one, two in three of those listed in 2025 do, and the share has fallen again in 2026.
Short dramas have casts, credits and, sometimes, devoted followings for particular actors. What they mostly do not have is anywhere obvious to look those things up. The apps rarely show cast lists. So a reasonable question is whether these series exist on IMDb at all.
For ReelShort there is a precise answer, and ReelShort supplies it. Each series page on ReelShort’s website carries a block of structured data — information written for search engines rather than for people, invisible on the page itself. In that block, ReelShort can state that the series is “the same as” a title somewhere else. On a third of its series, that somewhere else is IMDb.
The count
Of the 766 ReelShort series in the catalogue we hold, 279 (36.4%) carry a link to an IMDb title page in their structured data. Two of those links are empty — they point at IMDb’s title section without naming a title — so 277 identify a specific IMDb entry. No two series share one.
So the short answer to “are short dramas on IMDb?” is: about a third of ReelShort’s are, by ReelShort’s own account. The rest may or may not be; a missing link is not proof of a missing entry.
It depends heavily on when the series was listed
ReelShort’s series addresses also encode the date each listing was created, which we have used before to time its catalogue. Splitting the 766 series by that date:

Almost none of the oldest series have an IMDb link. Two in three of those listed in the second half of 2025 do. Then the share drops again in 2026 — and April 2026, when ReelShort created an unusually large batch of 119 listings at once, is the lowest of the recent periods at 13%.
We cannot see why. The link could reflect which series ReelShort produced or registered itself, a change in how its website is built, or simply who got round to filling in the field. What the table does say is practical: a ReelShort series listed in 2025 is the most likely to be on IMDb; a very old one or a very new one, much less so.
Which series have one
The linked series are longer — a median of 68 episodes against 55 for the rest — and slightly more often free in full (16.5% against 12.7%). By the words in their titles, series with werewolf vocabulary (alpha, luna, wolf, mate) are the most likely to be linked: 21 of 32, or 66%. Billionaire titles sit near the average at 40%, and CEO titles below it at 30%.
A check on our own method
There is a useful side effect here. IMDb hands out its title numbers in sequence, so a title registered later gets a higher number. If our reading of ReelShort’s listing dates is right, series listed later should have higher IMDb numbers too.
They do. Across every pair of the 277 valid IMDb links, the later-listed series has the higher IMDb number 95.9% of the time. Two unrelated numbering systems, one ReelShort’s and one IMDb’s, put these series in almost exactly the same order — which is good independent evidence that the listing dates we have been using across this site, including in how long ReelShort takes to put a series on YouTube, are real dates.
The other apps
We spot-checked NetShort and ShortMax. None of the five NetShort series pages and none of the three ShortMax pages that loaded mentions IMDb anywhere, in structured data or otherwise. That is a small sample, so read it as “we did not find any”, not as “they never do”. DramaBox, GoodShort and FlexTV publish no series pages we can read.
If you want to know who is in something
We do not publish actor names on this site; that is a matter of policy. But if you want a cast list for a ReelShort series, the odds that IMDb has the series are now clear: roughly one in three overall, two in three for series listed during 2025. Search IMDb for the series’ exact title. If you only remember a scene rather than a title, start with finding a short drama from one scene.

The structured data on all 766 ReelShort series pages in our catalogue, collected from ReelShort’s website on 2 September 2026, and specifically the sameAs field of the series entry. We did not visit IMDb or check what its pages contain; every figure here is about what ReelShort declares. Listing dates are decoded from ReelShort’s own series addresses, a method we have cross-checked before and which the IMDb ordering above supports.
