DramaBox Full Episodes on YouTube: The Official Channel Stopped Posting Whole Dramas in May 2025
DramaBox's official YouTube channel posted complete dramas for about twelve weeks in spring 2025. Since 11 May 2025 none of its 1,912 uploads runs an hour; 2026 uploads are 21-minute openings.

Not any more. DramaBox’s official YouTube channel posted complete dramas for about twelve weeks in the spring of 2025, and then stopped. Since 11 May 2025 it has not uploaded a single video longer than an hour. What it posts now is the opening of a drama, about 21 minutes long, with a link to the app for the rest.
We read every public upload on the channel on 7 October 2026: 3,654 videos going back to March 2023.
The channel we mean
DramaBox’s official channel is @dramaboxapp, named “DramaBox - Stream Drama Shorts”. Its description links to DramaBox’s own app, and YouTube shows it with about 16 million subscribers.
A channel called Drama Box English is a different thing. It was registered in 2020, describes itself as a home for Chinese dramas, links to a different app, and posts episodes of conventional Chinese television serials that run around 41 minutes each. Those are full episodes of television, not DramaBox’s short dramas, which is worth knowing before you spend an evening on it.
Spring 2025: the only time it posted whole dramas
Every upload on the channel marked as a full drama falls between 18 February and 11 May 2025. There were two kinds:
- 7 single uploads titled
【FULL EPISODE】, each a whole drama in one video, running from one hour to 2 hours 43 minutes. All seven went up between 7 and 11 May 2025. - 28 dramas split into numbered parts, marked
PART 1,PART 2and so on, with every part present: 110 uploads in all. Most run three or five parts, and a typical drama adds up to 1 hour 57 minutes, the longest to 2 hours 48 minutes.
So about 35 DramaBox dramas can be watched from start to finish on the official channel, all of them from that window. They are still up. Search the channel for FULL EPISODE or PART 1 to find them. The titles are one-line hooks rather than series names, so you will be choosing by premise.
These uploads did not draw big audiences: the seven single complete dramas have a median of about 8,200 views, below the channel-wide median of about 20,000 per upload.
What it posts now: the opening, then the app
After 11 May 2025, none of the channel’s 1,912 uploads runs an hour. The longest is 52 minutes 43 seconds.
In 2026 so far it has posted 808 videos:
| 2026 uploads | |
|---|---|
| Median length | 21 min 25 s |
| Middle half | 16 min 27 s to 26 min 37 s |
| Longer than 30 minutes | 127 |
| Longer than an hour | 0 |
The titles are hooks, usually in the first person, such as a line about a betrayal and a comeback, followed by “| DramaBox”. They do not name the series. The description does the rest: at least 533 of the 808 put a link to the DramaBox app in its first lines, most often under the words “Watch the full drama unfold”, and 743 carry a written synopsis.
So a 2026 DramaBox upload is a long free opening. It is enough to know whether you like a story, and the description points you to the app for the rest of it.
Five phases in three and a half years
The channel has changed what it posts several times. Median upload length by period:
| Period | Uploads | Median length |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 120 | 53 s |
| 2024 | 890 | 6 min |
| January to October 2025 | 1,585 | 18 min |
| November and December 2025 | 251 | 2 min |
| 2026 to date | 808 | 21 min |
It began with sub-minute clips, lengthened through 2024 and 2025, swung back to two-minute clips at the end of 2025, and has posted 20-minute openings since January. The complete dramas of spring 2025 sit inside the third phase as a short exception.
If you are searching YouTube for a DramaBox drama you saw advertised, this is the practical consequence: what you find on the official channel is almost certainly the opening, not the whole thing.
If you want a whole drama free on YouTube
DramaBox is not the place for it now. Of the apps’ official channels we track, FlexTV English is the one still adding complete dramas, 45 since July 2026. ShortMax and ReelShort posted many between late 2025 and spring 2026; we list the most watched in good short dramas.
If you are trying to identify a drama from a clip or an ad, the Clip Finder searches the apps’ upload titles, and how to find a short drama from one scene covers the other routes.
What this does and does not show
It shows what DramaBox has chosen to put on its official YouTube channel, upload by upload. The pattern is clear: whole dramas for twelve weeks in 2025, openings before and since.
It does not show what is inside the DramaBox app. “FULL EPISODE” and “PART” are the channel’s own labels; we hold no DramaBox catalogue to check the number of episodes against, so “complete” means complete by the channel’s account. It covers the one official DramaBox channel we have verified, not any regional channels the company may run. Nothing on this page describes what anything costs.
What we measured
Every public upload listed on the @dramaboxapp channel, 3,654 videos from March 2023 to 7 October 2026, read through the YouTube Data API on 7 October 2026: title, upload date, length, view count and the first lines of each description. A drama counts as posted in full if it was uploaded as a single video titled 【FULL EPISODE】, or as numbered parts with no part missing from PART 1 to the last.
