What Is StardustTV? The App Whose YouTube Channel Has Posted a Two-Hour Drama Every Day Since June
StardustTV is a vertical short drama app on the US App Store since July 2024. Its official YouTube channel has 1,403 uploads of 50 minutes or more, typically just under two hours, more than any other app channel we track.

StardustTV is a short drama app: serialised stories filmed in vertical format for phones and released in short episodes. On the App Store it is a mid-sized app. On YouTube it does something none of the bigger apps do: its official channel has posted a feature-length drama, typically just under two hours, every single day since June 2026.
We read its US App Store listing and every public upload on its official channel on 10 October 2026.
Who makes it
StardustTV has been on the US App Store since 3 July 2024. The seller is Hongxing Media Co., Limited, and StardustTV is the only app it sells there.
| On the US App Store | |
|---|---|
| Ratings | 78,375 |
| Average | 4.7 |
| Rank by ratings, of 11 short drama apps we checked | 8th |
| Age rating | 12+ |
| Interface languages listed | 15 |
For scale, DramaBox has 873,078 ratings and FlexTV 7,441. Ratings counts are a rough sign of reach, not a user count.
The listing says StardustTV makes some of its original dramas with AI-assisted production, which it presents as a way to stage bigger scenes and action. Of the 11 short drama apps whose listings we read, it is one of three whose store text mentions AI at all; the others are ShortMax and FlickReels. The listing does not say which series are made that way, and neither does the channel: only one upload title mentions AI. For what viewers say about AI-made dramas, see are short dramas AI-generated.
A channel built on full-length uploads
The App Store listing links directly to the official channel, @StardustTVapp, named “StardustTV - Movies & Dramas”. It opened in June 2024, YouTube shows it with about 1.02 million subscribers, and it has 2,292 public uploads. Nearly all are in portrait format.
1,403 of them, 61%, run 50 minutes or more. The typical one lasts 1 hour 57 minutes.
It did not start that way. Its first 906 uploads, up to July 2025, ran a median of about nine minutes. From August 2025 the typical upload jumped to an hour and a half or more, and every month since has had a median between 1 hour 36 minutes and 2 hours 10 minutes.
In 2026 the volume took off:
| Month (2026) | Uploads |
|---|---|
| June | 210 |
| July | 182 |
| August | 227 |
| September | 207 |
870 uploads of 50 minutes or more went up between June and September 2026, and there was at least one on every one of those 122 days.
Most are tagged in the title: 1,022 of the long uploads say 【Multi Sub】, meaning subtitles in several languages, and 205 say 【ENG DUB】, an English-dubbed version.
How it compares
Counting every upload of 50 minutes or more on each official channel, read between 7 and 10 October 2026:
| Official channel | Uploads of 50 min or more |
|---|---|
| StardustTV | 1,403 |
| FlexTV | 459 |
| ShortMax | 154 |
| MoboReels | 122 |
| ReelShort | 119 |
| DramaBox | 23 |
| My Drama | 1 |
StardustTV has posted three times as many full-length uploads as the next channel, and more than all six others together. At the opposite end, My Drama has posted one.
Attention has not kept pace with volume. The typical long upload has 8,788 views, and the channel’s typical upload of any length has 6,168, against 32,674 on ReelShort’s channel. Many of the newest long uploads have only a few hundred.
Are the long uploads complete?
We cannot tell, and the channel’s own descriptions give a reason for caution. 2,028 of the 2,292 descriptions point somewhere else for the full series. 1,272 ask the viewer to enter the drama’s name in the app to watch the full series, and most of the rest carry a “full episodes” link. That wording appears on the two-hour uploads too.
When we could check another app’s “full” uploads against its own episode list, as with ReelShort’s full-movie uploads, they turned out to run about two-thirds of the series. StardustTV publishes no catalogue we can read, so we cannot run the same test. Treat a two-hour StardustTV upload as a long run of the story, possibly the whole of it, without assuming either.
What this means if you want to watch
- For a long free watch on YouTube, StardustTV’s channel has more to offer than any other app channel we track. Search it by premise; most titles are a one-line hook.
- Expect about two hours per upload, and expect the description to point you to the app.
- Other StardustTV-branded channels exist in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, plus a second English one. Each presents itself as a StardustTV channel; we counted only the one the app links to.
If you are comparing apps rather than looking at this one, which short drama app to use covers what the larger apps publish.
What this does and does not show
It shows who sells StardustTV, where it sits on the US App Store, and what its official channel has posted, upload by upload.
It does not show what is inside the app, how many series it carries, which are made with AI, or whether a given long upload contains every episode. Nothing on this page describes what anything costs.
What we measured
The US App Store listings of StardustTV and ten other short drama apps, read together through Apple’s public lookup service on 10 October 2026. Every public upload on StardustTV’s official YouTube channel, 2,292 videos from June 2024 to October 2026, read through the YouTube Data API on 10 October 2026: title, upload date, length, view count, frame shape and the opening lines of each description. Full-length counts for the other channels come from complete upload histories read between 7 and 10 October 2026.
